  • 1 ⁄2 cup dry rolled oats
  • 1 small banana sliced (save a few
  • for topping)
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 ⁄2 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 4 strawberries sliced
  • 2 tbsp chopped walnuts
  • Optional: 1 tsp maple syrup or 1
  • chopped date to sweeten



  • In a small saucepan combine oats, half the banana, water, cinnamon, and pinch of salt. Bring to a low boil and then reduce heat to a simmer, stirring often for about 5 minutes.
  • Serve in a bowl topped with additional banana slices, sliced strawberries, and chopped walnuts. Add a splash of unsweetened plant milk if desired.
